Noir

Noir is a decentralized digital currency with anonymous features and community governance. To ensure accessibility to all users, Noir uses a CPU only mining algorithm. Noir is developing into a currency that is not only traded for speculative reasons, but also one that enables people to buy products and services in a secure and anonymous way. The overall goal is to shape Noir into a currency for one’s daily payments.

Noir (formerly Zoin) is a fork from the very early stages of Zcoin. Noir started at block 0 (under the name of Zoin), there was no coin transfer whatsoever, no ICO and no premine. Noir runs under the lyra2zoin algorithm and the reward to developers was completely removed. The only thing Noir and Zcoin have in common is the Zerocoin protocol for anonymous transactions.
