On September 12, 2023, the 1st Meta Era Summit hosted by Hong Kong-based Web3 media Meta Era will be held in Singapore. CertiK, the Pioneer in Web3 Security, will serve as the title sponsor and host a high-profile security-themed panel dialogue during the summit. According to CertiK's official statistics, the total asset loss in 2022 was approximately $3.77 billion USD. In the context of a sluggish market, 65% of digital asset market values have turned to nothing. The unprecedented number of hacking attacks, scams, and institutional collapses have further worsened the losses for already affected investors. The security challenges faced by Web3 are more severe than ever before. To engage more people in the construction and development of Web3, security must be a top priority for the continued growth of Web3.

In response to the growing public concern about Web3 security, CertiK will host a panel discussion on the theme of "How to Improve Web3 Security" at the 1st Meta Era Summit. Experts, scholars, and technology developers from different fields will be invited to participate in this discussion. With distinguished guest panelists, this discussion will center around what different stakeholders of the Web3 community can do to reduce risks and how the community can work together to improve security.

Kate Laurence is the CEO and founder of Bloccelerate VC, with over 10 years of enterprise technology and cybersecurity background. Prior to starting the fund, she has advised CISOs of Fortune 500 companies on their cybersecurity best practices around people, processes and cybersecurity technologies, while being a part of global market research firm, Gartner.

The 1st Panelist : Prof. Kang Li, Chief Security Officer of CertiK

Prof. Kang Li is the Chief Security Officer of CertiKy. He has extensive research and management experience in the areas of computer systems, networking, and cyber security. Recently his team has found and helped fix multiple security vulnerabilities in layer one blockchains, RPC nodes, MPC, and TEE wallet implementations.

The 2nd Panelist: Prof. Yang Liu, Nanyang Technological University

Prof. Yang Liu is a full professor and University Leadership Forum Chair, School of Computer Science and Engineering, NTU. His current research interests are related to Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. He is also the Programme Director for HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Corp Lab, Deputy Director of the National Satellite of Excellence of Singapore and Cluster Director in Cybersecurity, Energy Research Institute @NTU.

The 3rd Panelist: Jeff Ren, Partner of OKX Ventures and CEO of OKLink

Jeff Ren completed his studies at Peking University and Harvard Law School and has over 20 years of rich experience in the financial industry. He then decided to turn to the Web3 industry, combining his rich educational background and years of industry experience to bring unique value and insights to the development of the Web3 industry.
