he British Blockchain Association is a not-for-profit, membership-based organisation. We are a national platform that has been set up to promote the comprehensive adoption of blockchain technology across the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom. Our mission is to work in strategic collaboration with organisations and individuals in the blockchain space by innovating best practices and adopt promising blockchain solutions to benefit wider community.
We have a vision to accelerate progress and collaboration of blockchain based projects in the United Kingdom. There are lot of excellent practices and projects running in isolation and we believe that it would be of immense benefit to bring excellence on a common platform so that the benefits of progressive transformation change are truly realised in the blockchain landscape. Our founding members and advisors are drawn from the worlds of Blockchain, Academia, Information Technology, Computer Science, and large number of passionate public supporters. We aim to build a close-knit network of experts and organsiations connecting policymakers, blockchain engineers, venture capitalists and visionaries.
The British Blockchain Association will advocate for education on blockchain adoption within the profession. Our existing working groups include the Journal of British Blockchain Association (JBBA), Europe’s first peer reviewed research journal on Blockchain and distributed ledger ecosystems. The association is designed to provide a forum for experts to share information, provide pastoral support and create broader educational opportunities.
