Orbit Startups is a global accelerator and venture fund that supports early-stage tech companies in emerging and frontier markets. Backed by SOSV, it offers investment, mentorship, and market access to startups in sectors like fintech, healthcare, logistics, and e-commerce.
The program operates four cohorts annually, each lasting four months, and provides $150,000 in capital to participating startups. Founders also gain access to a global network of over 500 mentors and 180 corporate partners, as well as opportunities for follow-on funding.
Orbit Startups focuses on startups with a working MVP and full-time founders committed to scaling their businesses. The program includes modules on product development, market validation, fundraising, and pitch preparation, culminating in a Demo Day attended by investors and industry leaders.
In addition to its accelerator program, Orbit Startups has launched the Sanabil Accelerator by Orbit in partnership with Sanabil Investments. This pre-seed program focuses on startups in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region, with an emphasis on sectors such as fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, and mobility.
Since its inception, Orbit Startups has invested in over 260 companies across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Its portfolio includes companies like Phable (India), VideoVerse (Pakistan), and Marketforce (Africa), which have collectively raised over $728 million in follow-on funding.
Looking ahead, Orbit Startups aims to continue expanding its reach and impact by supporting startups that are solving critical problems and driving economic transformation in emerging markets.
