Lorenzo matches Bitcoin stakers with world-class projects in need of liquidity and security

step 1

Stake BTC

Users deposit BTC to a staking plan created by a project in need of BTC liquidity. Once deposited, a Staking Agent stakes the BTC to the staking plan creator on behalf of the user.   Step 2

Get LST

Once staking has begun, the Staking Agent mints two forms of Liquid Staking Tokens (LST) on Lorenzo: Liquid Principal Tokens (LPT) and Yield-Accruing Tokens (YAT). Once minted, the tokens are transferred to the staker.   step 3

Hold / Use

Stakers can now hold/use their received LPTs and YATs in the Lorenzo DeFi ecosystem and beyond.   step 4

Withdraw BTC

Once the staker is ready to redeem their accrued yield and withdraw their BTC principal, they burn their LPTs and YATs. Then, the same Staking Agent that issued their YAT upon deposit will transfer the owed funds.
