Kristian’s work within financial services has made him an acknowledged fintech thought leader and a frequent speaker at conferences worldwide.
He is ranked on Fintech.Finance’s “Silver Power List”, Rise Global’s “100 most influential people in fintech”; Planet Compliance’s ”Top 50 Regtech Influencers”; Instech London’s “Insurtech Power 100” and was shortlisted by PayExpo for the 2016 “Payments Power 10”.
Prior to co-founding Norfico, Kristian served four years in various strategic positions within Nordic payment giant Nets, where he led the strategy development for Nets’ mobile services across the Nordics. During the same period, Kristian also spent significant time advising Nordic banks about the strategic options for mobile and emerging payments.
Since 2010, Kristian has participated in Mobey Forum and has been an active contributor to the forum’s white papers. In 2016, Kristian was awarded honorary membership for “outstanding contribution” to the organisation.
Before Nets, he worked ten years in digital banking moving from managing online banking, over mobile banking to mobile payments.
Kristian also served as member of the Danish Bankers’ Association’s Mobile Working Group. Here, he partook in designing the first Danish attempt for a national mobile payment solution in 2011.
Kristian holds a master’s degree in Communication and Psychology and has applied this background in the digital space since the early days of the Internet in the mid-1990s. He founded his first advisory agency in 1998 focusing on strategic advice for companies venturing onto the Internet.
