The European DAO Workshop (DAWO25) is a premier academic conference dedicated to exploring the evolving landscape of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). This two-day workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in the design, governance, and societal impact of DAOs.
DAWO25 will feature keynote speeches from leading experts, including Prof. Ying-Ying Hsieh of Imperial College London, Prof. Samer Hassan from Harvard University and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Prof. Jason Potts of RMIT University. The program includes panel discussions on topics such as decentralized decision-making, tokenomics, legal frameworks, and the integration of AI in DAO operations. Workshops will provide hands-on experiences, facilitating knowledge exchange and the development of innovative solutions in the DAO ecosystem.
Organized by the Institute for Organizational Viability at the ZHAW School of Management and Law, in collaboration with the UZH Blockchain Center at the University of Zurich, DAWO25 continues the tradition of its predecessor, DAWO24, by serving as a platform for advancing research and practical applications of DAOs. The workshop encourages submissions of full papers and abstracts, with selected works to be published in the Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics.
