In 2056, a World War broke out of a greater magnitude than the world had ever seen before. Countries were fighting over energy resources as the lack of such was no longer sustainable for the world. AI robots were quickly turned into killing machines, and nuclear weapons were used to wipe enemies from the map.
The latest statistics say around 93% of the human population died that year. The aftereffects of the nuclear winter are expected to have a devastating impact on humanity for many more years to come.
By 2059, the war was officially over. Not due to any peace agreement, but because every country had declared anarchy; no government was left to proceed with the war. People call this the Last World War, as there was no longer any world to fight over. There was only chaos with no hope for change.
Among the ashes, 10 districts decided to gather together to rebuild society. All with different characteristics and political beliefs. The Survivors are entirely isolated from the world, not knowing whether or not they are the last humans on earth.
CyberWave: The Prologue
In 2066, out of nowhere, a wave of Zombies started attacking the districts three times a day. Some believe this was due to a virus planted by a rich, unknown entity. Fighting for their right to live, the districts found a common enemy in the Zombies. They started setting up camps and collecting weapons, determined to fight against death and build back society. Those who accumulate the most $CYBER through defending against Zombies have the biggest opportunity to prosper.
CyberWave: Main Game
As the Zombie waves became manageable, Survivors had varying opinions on how to best rebuild society. Each district set up a political, economic, and war system to offer business opportunities, elect leaders and decide how to deal with other districts. With a whole new spectrum of phases starting in, districts recognize the fundamental difference between one another.
