Technical Info

  1. FRONT-END: The front-ends dashboard will integrate MetaMask and an API service. The MetaMask integration is required to allow users to interact directly with the blockchain and protocol contracts, while the API service will handle KYC management, user logins, registrations, and general operations.
  2. BACK-END: The back-end will consist of a set of lambdas functions that serve the dashboard app, but also expose the tokenization service without the need for a dashboard. For this, the transactions that are sent through an API integration, will use Infura instead of MetaMask, to send the transactions to the blockchain.
  3. KYC SERVICE: The KYC service solution will connect to our existing Lambdas system. Acceptance and rejection of requests can be executed with the API or through the dashboard.
  4. DATABASE: The database will store useful information for the functionality that Brickken proposes to build (users that might register their emails, metadata’s, transactions, etc.).
  5. SMART CONTRACTS: The smart contracts will be made up of an ERC20 token contract (BKN), and a smart contract that acts as a factory for two other smart contracts;
    • The escrow contract is where investors deposit money until the STO is finalized.
    • The ERC20 token contract will represent STO specific tokens. The escrow contract will also be the one that issuers use to deposit the dividends/ interests that serves as revenue (yield) for the investors.

I am a Senior Advisor to Brickken. My background is in traditional finance with roles as a portfolio manager and strategist in global equities before recently founding the consulting firm Green Edge Advisors. I have worked at Investment Banks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as well as for Hedge Funds. I am working with the Brickken team on go-to-market strategies and helping bridge the gap to the traditional finance community.

The digitalization of assets has already begun as virtually every aspect of the capital markets will have to be recreated in the digital space. I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Brickken. I am a digital lawyer specialized in high tech and securities, making me the trust foundation for what we are creating. My day to day lies on making sure that everyone pushes in the same direction, and make sure they have everything they need to put their expertise into practice. I deal with overcoming errors and frustration and turning it into positive outcomes so we can continue learning and developing Brickken. Due to the product we are dealing with, I must transmit to all departments the need to reassure to third parties that legality comes first and technology second, as we are dealing with regulated markets and such must be handled with extreme caution. I ensure that we all have a 360 vision on what we are creating and where we are going, to make sure we all work as the same organism, part of the ecosystem we are building.
What do you think about idea?
What started as an idea became a vision, which is now a reality. We are building a decentralized ecosystem where companies can self-crowdfund through STOs, and anyone can invest in markets they never imagine before. What we are trying to achieve here is a self-sustainable environment for funding and investing, where both parties coexist and communicate directly without intermediaries. We want to reduce barriers and simplify process, while providing a robust structure. The world will be tokenized, and Brickken will play a major role in this new era.
Manuel Ortiz-Olave
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
My role is on finance and economics due to my background in finance and investment management. I support the team in various matters such as financial, accounting, tax, investment, valuation, financial modelling, sales, operations. I have been involved in private equity and capital markets for close to a decade in London and now would like to see how innovative technologies move forward disrupting traditional sectors.
What do you think about idea?
It is, to the best of our knowledge, the wolrd's first fully decentralised STO ecosystem. Our idea is that the world tokenises itself rather than through third party platforms. This is what in our opinion makes us different from all other tokenisation platofmrs which suffer from centralisation issues as they have to be governed by local regulations depending on the issuance country.
Dario Lo Buglio
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
I have experience in developing and securing smart contracts, and my role is to create the blockchain foundation under which Brickken runs. I must create the base for where security token offerings are issued, making sure that not all the code is perfect, but that it is able to comply with the legality needed.

As one of the Co-Founders, and having a swiss-army knife skillset, I support the team in various departments: Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Operations. My main role within the team is defining the Marketing plan, designing the customer journeys and building/optimizing the different funnels for the different customer personas. But also, being a full-stack developer and UX/UI designer, I support the Tech team on the full-stack website development, the UX/UI design of the product, and the front-end development of the product.
