ICECAT N.V. (icecat.com) is a Dutch-based global publisher and syndicator of product content for the ecommerce market, listed at the Dutch SME stock exchange NPEX since February 2017 and with a market cap of around 125 million euro. Icecat, headquartered in Amsterdam and founded in 2009, works with some tens of thousands webshops and for hundreds of global brand clients such as Philips, Sony, Samsung, HP, P&G, L’Oréal, Akzo and LEGO. Icecat supported around 14 billion product data-sheet (PDS) downloads per year during 2017. It’s Estonian daughter company Icecat Content Sourcing O.Ü. is the Issuer of the ICURY.

As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project? What do you think about idea?
I am founder and CEO of Icecat and have an R&D background. Icecat is a listed open content company in The Netherlands, which has applied Distributed Ledger Tech in its core-systems. I see great potential for tokenizing the global Icecat product content syndication network, which is already used by leading brands and e-tailers in the e-commerce space. If we things well, we can leverage our token to be used throughout our full ecosystem.

As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project? What do you think about idea?
I`m the MD of Icecat and have a background in corporate finance. I`ve been with Icecat from the start of the international expansion and assumed various roles to build our sales, operations and product teams. Icecat has been showing continuous growth since 10 years both in revenues/profitability but also in terms of users and market dominance.
Tokenization of our eco-system is crucial step-forward for our content syndication business as our connected network of thousands of ecommerce players and brand manufacturers will benefit a rapid expansion of our content database via decentralization. Blockchain application will enable any publisher to push data in a structured format to the decentralized database which will be QA-ed by brands/Icecat/QA teams and fed to the content consumers.
Our goal is to increase current data production of 1mio products to 100mio and beyond to cover entire e-commerce product information demand.
