Dr Vlad Trifa

As a digital product leader, I've spent the last decade building industrial grade IOT platforms and solutions used by Fortune 500 companies in numerous industries (consumer goods, luxury, logistics, retail, or entertainment). Deeply curious about the world and its cultures, passionate about technology, and obsessed with first-class user experiences, my talent lies in leveraging human-centric design and agile development methodologies to turn fuzzy requirements and hairy business challenges into award-winning products. Previously, I led the product development at EVRYTHNG from a team of 4 founders with ideas up to 60+ employees and 33M$ VC funding from Atomico, Samsung, and Cisco. Voted top #5 expert in the IOT space, I invented the core technology of the EVRYTHNG cloud service (Patent: US9582595) and designed the foundations of the first W3C standard for the Web of Things. I graduated with a MsC in robotics and machine learning from EPFL and did my PhD research in decentralised data analytics at MIT and ETH Zurich.
