Unsere Vision: Die ultimative verteilte Finanzanwendung

Da die P2P-Kreditvergabe um 50% pa zunimmt, sehen wir den Markt der P2P-Schuldverschreibungen als nächste Finanzierungsquelle und die ultimative verteilte Finanzierungsanwendung.

Technische Information

The Sikoba Network is designed to be a high-performance blockchain application that is ready for mass adoption. It will support millions of users without needing any knowledge of cryptocurrencies.

The Sikoba Network will be accessible via the sikobaPay mobile app, a web interface, and APIs. The network itself will consist of gateways to filter and pre-validate requests and transactions, passive nodes that respond to queries, and consensus nodes that process transactions and ensure a consistent state. Later on, depending on transaction volume, we may also add clearing nodes to the mix.

Sikoba Backend

The back-end has three components:

* a Server to handle user requests
* a Transaction Processor to manage and execute submitted transactions
* a Services component to execute periodic actions and perform clearing

All of these components are written in the Crystal programming language using the Lucky web framework. We use PostgreSQL to store data and Redis to store queued transactions. The entire system is built with and runs in Docker.

Sikoba Frontend

The Sikoba front-end consists of the sikobaPay mobile app, available for both Android and iOS (currently in beta) and a web interface (currently under development).

The mobile app is written in React Native, while the web interface is written in React JS. Both communicate with the backend via a RESTful API.

Blockchain Layer

We are currently working on building our blockchain layer using Babble, a very simple to use Distributed Consensus Middleware. We had already tested an earlier version of Babble in mid-2018 and have looked at two other blockchain middlewares in the meantime (including Fantom Lachesis) but finally decided on Babble because it is the simplest.

Users will not communicate directly with the blockchain nodes but will connect with gateways whose role will be to pre-filter messages. This will help protect the network against spam attacks and open up the possibility of having both passive nodes (responding to read-only queries), consensus nodes (processing transactions that potentially modify state), and clearing nodes (to perform ongoing optimisation of IOUs).

Cryptography and Biometrics

For signing transactions, we use the same elliptic curve cryptography as Bitcoin, Ethereum and many other blockchains, i.e. the curve Secp256k1. For the hashing function, we use both Sha256 and Argon2, depending on the use case. Our approach focuses on usability, meaning that users do not necessarily need to know about private key management and practical account recovery methods must be available.

Every user will have an associated Sikoba account number, for example:
These account numbers are linked to the account's master key.

As to other technologies, we have started to work on integrating a facial recognition feature using OpenCV and open-source deep learning / neural network software.

Sikoba Interviews

Aleksander Kampa
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
I’m Alex Kampa, the founder of Sikoba. My background is in economics, mathematics and statistics. I’ve worked in finance and IT for much of my life, but I also did research in monetary theory. So when I encountered blockchain in late 2014, I thought that I could combine my ideas about money with this new technology. That is how the Sikoba project was born.
What do you think about idea?
Sikoba is the result of my life-long interest in monetary theory.
We see a future where money will once again be diverse, with many different issuers, with a variety of credit relationships, where people will take an active interest in the type of money they wish to use.
Guillaume Drevon
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
I am CTO of Sikoba, responsible for the technical design of the system, the technological road-map and R&D.
I make sure our product stays simple to use and that the implementation follows our original philosophy, despite the various features we are adding.
What do you think about idea?
Sikoba is a great concept that provides a distributed implementation of the true nature of money. As such it can handle many use cases related to business interactions.
Katsiaryna Lupachova
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
Hi! I’m Katsiaryna (Kate) Lupachova. I’m an ex-bank employee with 14 years of experience. In 2018 I’ve switched my career to IT industry. As a product manager of sikobaPay app I’m responsible for the development process, specification of the app’s functional requirements, and general coordination of product development.
What do you think about idea?
Sikoba is a great project with huge potential! It will help millions of people in developing countries to have an access to financial resources and to use them more efficiently, thus making a world a better place!
Dragan Postolovski
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
I am the lead developer of the Sikoba platform.
I'm doing both front- and back-end development, and I've been working on the project for over a year now.
My work includes everything from requirement specification to technical implementation of software.
What do you think about idea?
I believe that the project has huge potential. The target market is definitely underserved, and as such our solution can be highly beneficial, both for investors and the users alike.
Margareta Reshetar
As a team member, сan you tell us about your role in the ICO project?
Hi! I’m Margareta Resetar. As a marketing manager of Sikoba, I’m in charge of developing and executing strategies to spread awareness about Sikoba. Our goal is to help communities in developing countries to reduce dependency on the banking system and boost their local economies.
What do you think about idea?
I believe that sikobaPay app will help small and micro-businesses in developing countries to use informal credit more efficiently, thus provide a boost to their business opportunities.
