Revolut, the London-based digital banking firm with 40 million users worldwide, has unveiled Revolut X, a dedicated cryptocurrency exchange tailored for professional traders. With this move, Revolut becomes the first bank to develop a separate platform exclusively for cryptocurrency trading.

Previously, Revolut allowed customers to buy and sell crypto through its app. However, with the launch of Revolut X, users can now trade directly from the exchange, enjoying lower fees. Maker trades incur zero fees, while taker trades are charged a competitive 0.09%.

Revolut X is positioned to compete with established crypto exchanges, offering a range of digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, with plans to add more in the future. The exchange is accessible to UK customers with a Revolut retail account, who can seamlessly sign in using their existing details.

By providing a standalone exchange platform, Revolut aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for its customers, empowering them to participate in the crypto market with ease.
