The price of one Bitcoin now stands at £34,369.72, and it continues to be a word on the lips of everyone excited by the next wave of payments. But, which companies have jumped to the front of the queue of this wave and have already began accepting the method as a form of payment?

Online Casinos And Sportsbooks

There are a plethora of online casinos and sportsbooks that accept Bitcoin as a payment method. These were among the first to jump on the Crypto bandwagon, and they haven’t looked back since.

Customers at these sites are always looking for new ways to deposit funds, and the acceptance by the sites to accept them have gone down well with customers who have made it their preferred payment method. Bitcoin sports betting isn’t popular in just one country either, as it has become a worldwide success story that has enabled sites to stand out from the competition.

One of the biggest new names that has been added to the list of companies that accept crypto payments is the international resort Pavilion Hotels. It would be welcome news for those looking to get away, as it became the first establishment to accept this variation of payment when the announcement was made a couple of weeks ago.

In July, the announcement was made that customers can pay for their trip using up to 40 different variations of Crypto, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Pavilion currently has state-of-the-art hotels and resorts in locations such as Bali, Amsterdam and Phuket.

Microsoft

Microsoft is one of the biggest software companies in the world, and they were also one of the first to accept Crypto payments to be made. As well as purchasing items such as Microsoft Office, the company also accepts the method of payment when it comes to adding funds to your Skype and Xbox Live accounts.

Microsoft have also been at the forefront when it comes to other leading crypto technology such as ION, which is a two-layered verification method that has been used on Bitcoin since March.

Starbucks

The world’s biggest coffee shop also accepts payments made by Bitcoin through the Bakkt app. The service was rolled out to customers after an extensive trial period, but it has been welcomed by those that visit Starbucks on a regular basis. It was tested by 500,000 people that were invited to take part.

The successful trial period now means that thousands of Starbucks around the world allow customers to purchase their favourite drinks and meals from the shop using Bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrency.
