M5: SHOP Wallet v1 Spec

The SHOP Wallet is a shopper’s gateway to the Protocol. It allows a shopper to manage payment (in SHOP and other currencies), keep track of their profile, and permission their data for use in the broader ecosystem. This milestone is a series open specifications that define the capabilities, security considerations, and implementation approach for the first version of the SHOP Wallet.

M6: Developer API (Private Beta)

Allow a select set of developers to interact with the RESTful API that enables partner and eco-system access to the SHOP Protocol. Developers will receive a private API key and the ability to access the full set of off-chain and on-chain nodes and SHOP APIs and supporting SDKs.

Give brands the ability to seamlessly migrate their data from their legacy eCommerce infrastructure to FoxCommerce, the first Brand app that will run on top of the SHOP Protocol. This milestone includes support for one-time and ongoing migrations.

Open up the developer API to a public audience. There is not planned feature difference between this and the private beta, but we expect changes to be made based on beta user feedback.

Rich Merchandising Features

RESTful APIs to support broader merchandising support, including pricing, discounting, content controls, and shipping. The APIs exposed here should be sufficient to power a 3rd party marketplace running as an App.

Value Exchange Enhancements
Areas: Commerce and Value Exchange, SHOP Token and Governance

Give users greater control over the types of data that can be shared, how its priced, and rules that govern when sharing occurs. The core differentiating feature is the ability to programmatically manage sharing for any data type in the system, as opposed to the constrained set (products and orders) that was available in earlier versions of the system.

SHOP Wallet (Private Beta)
Launch the Wallet as a full replacement for traditional payment gateways. Apps that implement this wallet will use it as the main point of access for all forms of payment and shopper data. This private beta will only work on storefronts that are completely powered by the SHOP Protocol.
