ScPrime

The Sia protocol came into being in 2014 with a core mission statement of becoming the backbone storage layer of the Internet. Nearly five years later, we are reaching a critical inflection point where that mission can truly begin to take shape. The SiaPrime vision builds on the Sia protocol via API to create middleware applications and tools allowing everyone access to decentralized cloud storage.

We expect to build an application suite to establish unique sales funnels across a wide variety of customer profiles. For example, our suite could include a lightweight web front-end similar to Dropbox, while at the same time providing a full-on dashboard with monitoring and KPIs for enterprise adoption.

The project is initially financed by a declining block reward grant from mining proceeds. This first stage will allow us to build out the initial team through early 2019. We will re-evaluate our capital and financing needs at that time to determine if and how an additional raise might be needed.
