Nick Holden

I am a Professor of Biosystems Engineering. My research addresses the impact of agriculture and food production in the context of sustainable food systems. I introduced a new degree programme (Agricultural Systems Technology) integrating agriculture and data science to educate the next generation of agrifood leaders. My research is developing a holistic view of sustainability of the food chain and the associated bioeconomy using tools such as life cycle assessment (LCA).
