Stephane Savanah

I have acquired deep technical expertise in blockchain technology from R&D mainly in bitcoin over the past four years. I am co-inventor on 57 UK patent applications submitted by nChain Ltd. My background spans corporate and academic spheres. In the corporate world I have 30+ years’ experience covering all aspects of Information Technology including software design and development, infrastructure management and production support. The bulk of this experience is in the finance sector (17+ years) but also includes significant periods in business consultancy; health; publishing; manufacturing; and government. On the academic side I have tertiary qualifications in both the physical and human sciences beginning with a BSc(Hons) from Monash University majoring in Physics and Mathematics. My academic experience covers both research and teaching up to tertiary levels. I earned my PhD at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition at Macquarie University, where I researched the nexus between consciousness and human, animal, and artificial intelligence.
