After hosting a successful Asia Blockchain Week in November of 2018, Singapore is all set to welcome more events and projects in the new year. With over 4,000 participants from around the globe, the week was marked by some key events, including the United Conference of Internet Money (UCIM), BlockShow Asia, and LongHash Open Day.

UCIM successfully concluded its 2018 edition with speakers like billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper, crypto consultant and trader Tone Vays, Zebi co-founder Babu Munagala, VNX Exchange Senior VP Zing Yang, Civic business development VP Chris Smith, and Huobi APAC Managing Director Edward Chen.

“I had a great time at UCIM, particularly enjoying the vibe and energy at the conference. Of course, there is scope of improvement and a process of learning involved which I am sure the team is capable of achieving. Excited to see the next edition,” shared Vays about his experience at UCIM.

The team is now organizing Pitcher Perfect, an event targeting startups and investors. Pitcher Perfect will offer a platform to empower promising projects for finding the right investors and to investment funds for discovering startups that can make a difference. The two ends of the investment community will connect over a lavish spread of food and drinks at the Huobi Headquarter in Singapore.

Pitcher Perfect envisions to leverage the benefits that the Singapore ecosystem offers to various stakeholders, including regulatory friendliness, innovation-centric policy framework, and successful startup culture. It will provide an exclusive and intimate setup to allow investors and projects to connect and benefit.

“We received a tremendous response from all our speakers, investors, and participants during UCIM 2018. But we also realized that there’s a lot more missing in the industry in terms of investment,” shared Tanya Singh, the Director of First Impressions at UCIM. “That’s why we decided to mend the same by bringing together these two ends of the community,” she further added.

Having hosted the Binance Week, Singapore is all set to keep the momentum going with events like Pitcher Perfect. Countries that are enthusiastically embracing events and conferences in the crypto and blockchain space seem to be headed in the right direction when it comes to the innovation curve.
