Sophon, an entertainment-focused zkSync hyperchain, has made waves in the cryptocurrency space by raising approximately $60 million in less than a week through its node sale. This successful fundraising effort adds to the $10 million raised in a previous funding round led by prominent crypto firms like OKX Ventures, Huobi Ventures, Spartan, and SevenX.

The funds raised will bolster Sophon's mission to revolutionize blockchain gaming and artificial intelligence sectors. Founded by Sebastien, former head of decentralized finance at zkSync, and Crypto Twitter persona Pentoshi, Sophon aims to leverage zkSync's hyperchain technology to create a modular blockchain platform designed for high-throughput applications.

Sophon's innovative approach has attracted significant interest from investors, with 200,000 nodes offered for sale across multiple tiers. The rapid success of the node sale underscores the market's confidence in Sophon's potential to disrupt traditional gaming and AI industries.

Upon the launch of Sophon's network, node holders will play a crucial role in its decentralization by operating the Sophon sequencer. In return, they will be rewarded with SOPH, Sophon's native token.
