Synthetic assets require no capital to buy the underlying asset therefore they are less risky and diversify a portfolio. There are four main categories of synthetic assets – fiat currencies, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and inverse cryptocurrencies. The current global crypto market is valued at $210 Billion, while the estimated global crypto derivative market is expected to rise up to $1.2 Trillion.
