As the founder and CEO of Arkadia I have been working full time on this project for around 7 months. The project is bringing cryptocurrencies and blockchain to a serious business concept whilst also working to make the world a better place.

In November 2017, I met the incoming head of financial stability at the Bank of Ghana. He made it clear that creating a cross border digital marketplace lender, where lenders in the developed world could fund financial projects in emerging markets would be beneficial to both borrowers and lenders. Since then we have developed a partnership with an investment banking firm in Ghana for our West African business and are preparing for FCA authorisation to conduct lending on a digital platform. Our ICO is for an alternative data generation game so that we can structure our loan portfolios more effectively and a decentralised market maker to provide liquidity to the secondary market.

Ultimately our goal is to increase returns for lenders, particularly those who do not have access to high return investments and to reduce the cost of borrowing for development in emerging markets. Currently borrowers in emerging markets only have access to funds from a small number of potential lenders. By opening this market up to new lenders through a digital platform we can enhance the global financial system, benefiting all parties involved.
