About Andrew Johansson
Economic development specialist with more than ten years of expertise providing strategic recommendations for dozens of public sector agencies, as well as the development community. I have expertise in economic impact analysis, municipal finance, business retention & expansion (BRE), small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development, community engagement, and strategic advisory services for municipalities throughout the country.
Our towns, cities, and states are underfunded; the only way forward is to develop creative solutions to promote sustainable economic development that utilizes our country's human capital more efficiently. I have provided consulting services that have addressed these challenges facing major public sector agencies throughout the US. I have also provided consulting services to over 40 private sector clients in the US, primarily in the construction, manufacturing, and real estate development industries. In addition to this US-based work, I have provided short-term, project-based strategic advisory services to consultancies, non-profits, and think-tanks in Finland, Guatemala, Latvia, Lithuania, and Sweden.
I am currently based in my (sweet) hometown of Chicago where I am busy developing new, creative economic development solutions to the Midwest's most pressing needs.
