Cardano Africa Tech Summit 2026 (CATS) is a three-day blockchain and decentralized technology summit taking place 11–13 February 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. Designed to build and activate the future of decentralized systems across Africa, CATS brings together developers, entrepreneurs, ecosystem leaders, policymakers and innovators to collaborate, launch projects and grow real solutions on the Cardano platform and broader Web3 stacks.
This summit is more than a standard conference — it’s a full-circle innovation journey that integrates a build-focused hackathon (11–12 Feb) where teams collaborate, code and compete for grants and mentorship, followed by a one-day main summit (13 Feb) of keynotes, panel discussions, showcase sessions and networking that spotlight practical use cases, developer tooling and ecosystem growth strategies.
The program also includes an incubation intensive and onboarding sessions, empowering participants to refine solutions, validate ideas and connect with mentors before the summit. CATS emphasizes real collaboration, community impact and capacity building — with opportunities for participants to gain visibility, accelerate projects and engage with stakeholders from across Africa’s tech ecosystem.
Hosted across venues like the Sarit Expo Centre for hackathons and expo tracks, and the Tamarind Tree Hotel for main summit conversations, the event also offers optional community experiences such as curated safari meetups in Maasai Mara that foster deeper connections and cross-cultural dialogue.
