Story

Born in Argentina, we’ve always brought the fresh perspective of an outsider to the security and compliance challenges organizations face. Onapsis was founded in 2009 by Mariano Nunez, Victor Montero and JP Perez-Etchegoyen, cybersecurity researchers who realized what was at stake for organizations not securing their business-critical applications and wanted to enable them to decrease their risk.

We were the first to detect—and do something about—a major problem with a huge global impact: the fact that 100% of business-critical applications are exposed to cyberattacks. We now have solutions to secure SAP®, Oracle® E-Business Suite (EBS) and Salesforce and will continue to work to support additional business-critical applications.

Today, we’re headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with operations around the globe. We proudly serve more than 300 of the world’s leading brands and organizations, including many of the Global 2000. Through our unique strategic alliances with leading consulting and audit firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys, PwC and Verizon, Onapsis solutions have become the de facto standard in helping organizations protect what really matters.

What’s in the Name?

We call ourselves “The Tribe” in tribute to our Argentinean roots. We take our name Onapsis from the Onas, an ancient, hardy, nomadic tribe indigenous to the Patagonian region of southern Argentina. Like the ancient Onas, we are proud people who work together as a team and rely on other members of The Tribe to help us succeed.
