I am a senior auditor that specialises in the financial services sector, merging the detail and hard work of a Bulgarian expat, with financial compliance knowledge of 20 years audit and accounting experience. As an experienced senior audit manager I have industry and Big 4 experience. My work has given me wide ranging experience from smaller private companies to large public companies; although I now specialise in working in the financial services sector. I love audit work and chose to specialise in it as it gives me a great chance to really help clients to improve their financial reporting and compliance processes and demonstrate excellent client service. My approach to audits is systematic and structured, I do seek efficiency in every reporting process. Whilst I am good with procedures and number-crunching, auditing gives me the chance to listen, build rapport and help finance professionals. In some recent audits I helped a client improve the quality of their narrative reporting and it was highly appreciated. Another client requested support on the convergence to the new UK GAAP and I provided useful and timely recommendations. An audit that is done well will help a client to manage business risks and comply with the complex regulatory world that they have to work in. This can be done so that the client’s business is more effective and that their team are happy. When not working I like to spend time with my family inducing them to join me in football, chess and karaoke activities.
