About Mun Shing Cheong
Mun Shing Cheong is currently the Asia Pacific Regional Head of Media of Alpha where she oversees the delivery of creative media solutions to support the core work of the Alpha ministry in Asia Pacific through promoting, training and providing resources. Alpha International is a charity which publishes and promotes the Alpha course in 169 countries worldwide. Today it oversees not only the Alpha Course, but also a range of associated ministries including Relationship Central, Worship Central, the William Wilberforce Trust, God at Work and St Paul's Theological Centre. Prior to this, she was Head of E-Business of Sun Hung Kai Financial and oversaw the Service Innovation & Support, Customer Relations & Marketing and Service Operations teams. She was instrumental in setting up the E-Business strategy blueprint for the firm and transforming the firm's service delivery through technology. She also spearheaded the development of the firm's first mobile trading application, SHKF eMO!, and built the firm's online trading arm, SHK Direct, into a successful, award-winning brand. She was also the Responsible Officer for SHK Online (Securities) Limited. Mun Shing joined Sun Hung Kai Financial in 2007, after more than 2 years with the Private Client Business Group of HLG Securities, Malaysia where she was one of their top salespersons. Prior to that, she was with OCBC Bank, Malaysia, serving in a number of roles including Product Manager of Secured Lending and Direct Sales Unit Manager where she pioneered and set up the Direct Sales unit as an alternative distribution channel for the bank, focusing on unsecured loans. Before joining OCBC Bank, Mun Shing was the Marketing & Brand Development Manager of Sun Hung Kai Financial. She began her career working as a Web Developer in a software development firm in London. Mun Shing is a graduate of the Stanford Financial Engineering Program and also holds a Master of Science degree in Electronic Publishing from City University, London and a BA (Hons) Marketing degree from Middlesex University, London.
