About João Barbos
Set up Shopworks Iberia in 2003. In April 2017, launched a new Company - Air&D, focused on Retail Design supported by Intelligent Analytics and Customer Research. During his 28 years of management experience, has worked in retail management, research, sales, marketing and retail consultancy. He has experienced the needs of all businesses, regardless of size, having worked for both local and multi-national organisations . Over the years has developed professional experience over a wide range of industries, products and services including consumer goods, telecom, pharmaceuticals, sport, home entertainment, consumer electronics, clothing and imaging. With a team of diversified backgrounds, Air&D (U.K.) and Shopworks Portugal are creating news ways of analysing the retail business to provide insightful support to retailers at the same time that are developing successful design concepts for them. The main mission is to Create Successful Stor(i)es! The plans to expand to other geographies is on its way and surely great news will come out very soon. He is particularly adept at developing and modernising organisations. He worked as Sales and Trade Marketing Manager for Unilever, launched successfully a chain of chocolate stores as a joint venture with Jeronimo Martins Group, and was Retail Manager for all 1200 Kodak Express stores in Iberia. He also developed and implemented several store design concepts across many countries. His has been providing consultancy and developing his retail experience in almost 40 countries now. Apasionate for the Asian markets, he has been spending exciting moments developing and supporting the Company expansion in those markets with almost 60 visits to China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea.
