Kishan Sudusinghe

ishan has more than 3 years of experience in the Industry and over 3 years of experience in research and development of products from ideation to prototypes and to successful end user products. Startup ventures have sought after his technical expertise in advising as well as prototyping and developing minimal viable product (MVP). His research has been widely selected and accepted by the academia and industry and few manuscripts from 2014 and 2016 have been cited top 10% in computer science. He is a pioneer in model based design methodology and has contributed to widely adopted software tools that are used in premier research institutes such as National Cancer Institute (NCI), teaching materials in undergraduate and graduate level classes in leading universities in US and Europe, and in open source software development community. He is currently a Quantitative Developer at Validus Group, a (re)insurance company and has been the lead developer for the company’s proprietary pricing engine. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park. He has worked in a premier federal government research institute, post graduate, before his current venture. His work has also been funded by distinguished research grants from National Science Foundation (NSF) and Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). He is passionate about product development and advancing financial services Industry through technology and innovation. He is integrated into the FinTech and InsureTech industries and has taken a proactive role to solve the problems in this sector through advancement in new technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
