Elizabeth Vrettos

Elizabeth is a Manager in PwC’s Houston Forensic Services practice. She began her first four years at PwC in the audit practice, performing financial statement audit services governed under the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and testing of internal controls, governed under Sarbanes-Oxley to publically traded midstream and upstream oil and gas companies, oil field services markets, manufacturing companies and insurance companies with a heightened focus in Latin American operations. Elizabeth has performed change management programs, including developing, training, and rolling out of future state processes. For example, Elizabeth assessed current state practices and led implementations of future state processes of new financial accounting guidance, particularly with ASC 842, to achieve compliance with the new lease accounting pronouncements for a national utilities corporation. Elizabeth’s experience includes leading teams and conducting investigations of fraud, bribery, corruption, anti-corruption due diligence reviews, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance reviews in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, and throughout Latin America. She has also assisted her clients in the implementation of procedures for the global procurement process in response to the findings of an investigation. Furthermore, Elizabeth’s work includes implementation of email governance strategies of a Fortune 5 global company through system development, stakeholder engagement, and change management strategies. Ms. Vrettos holds a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Saint Thomas in Houston, TX and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida International University in Miami, FL. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. Elizabeth is also RYT 200 hour yoga teacher certified from YogaOne.
