Sur CryptoStamp

CryptoStamp is the world’s first government project to combine classic postage stamps with blockchain technology. Launched by Austrian Post in 2019, it offers collectible stamps and coins, each with an NFT counterpart recorded on the Ethereum or Polygon blockchain. The project combines philately with Web3 and makes collecting accessible to a digital audience.

Each crypto stamp contains a unique identifier in the form of a QR code or NFC chip, which allows you to activate the NFT. Once activated, the stamp becomes part of a digital collection that can be managed via a crypto wallet or an account on cryptostamp.com. This makes owning a collection more secure, transparent and modern.

CryptoStamp is issued in limited editions, which gives NFT models value. Some collections include not only stamps, but also special commemorative coins made of gold and silver. These items combine the traditional quality of the Austrian Mint with digital identification on the blockchain.

The project has gained wide recognition among collectors, investors and those interested in Web3 technologies. Thanks to a simple interface and reliable support from the state post office, CryptoStamp has become accessible to both newcomers to the NFT world and experienced blockchain users.

CryptoStamp is therefore not just NFT stamps, but a full-fledged ecosystem of digital collections from one of the oldest postal operators in Europe. It demonstrates how traditional institutions can adapt to the digital future while preserving cultural value and introducing innovations.
