The Ice Rock Mining project, carried out by WOODLAND NETWORKS L.P., Northern Ireland, provides cryptocurrency mining services at its mining facility, located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The farm is located in a former secret bunker built by the USSR in the case of a war breaking out. In the 1950s, the USSR built large mountain storehouses, situated inside massive mountains, where caves were carved.
The mining 'pit' is located next to a water-reservoir with a hydroelectric power station nearby. Because of the natural characteristics of the mountain, there is a constant temperature of 12°C inside the cave. As it is located in the countryside, the cave benefits from an agricultural subsidy for electricity, which allows us to receive one of the best rates for electricity in the world.
