Accord Project

The Accord Project open source protocol for the formation and execution of smart legal contracts is a blockchain-agnostic implementation, including a domain specific language, execution engine, and templating system. Smart legal contracting needs a common implementation. The Accord Working Groups are comprised of leading law firms that help establish best practices for a smart legal contract layer. The Accord Project develops technical specifications such as data schemas, models, templates, a smart legal contract programming language and a contract execution engine that embody legal best practices and work towards a common, universal, implementation for smart legal contracts. The Accord Project incubates an open-source protocol, enabling applications to be built on a common software foundation for smart legal contracts. The core execution elements are open-sourced, including the Cicero templating system.
