INNOVATIVE IN-GAME ECONOMY
Our goal is to build an innovative in-game economy, where players own their game items and cards not only in the game world but also outside the game, on the blockchain.
We believe players should have full ownership of their game items. Once players acquire a game asset, they should be free to own and transfer it. Unlike in other games, players should be able to keep their assets outside the game database and be completely independent with them. Once they own a game item, they can play it in Spells of Genesis or Moonga, trade it on the blockchain or even find alternative uses for it in other games.
TOKEN SYSTEM
Both BitCrystals and other Spells of Genesis game items are digital assets based on Counterparty. Counterparty is a platform which allows the creation of custom tokens, which act as their own cryptocurrency, while still running on the blockchain. Game assets in SoG are assigned a unique Counterparty token. This allows them to be used and traded freely outside the game.
If you have bought BitCrystals (BCY) during the Token Sale or from another player after the end of the Token Sale, you can trade your BCY on the blockchain and exchange them for other cryptocurrencies. You can also use them to purchase some of the SoG blockchain-based trading cards. Furthermore, you can play your cards in Spells of Genesis or Moonga, or trade them on the blockchain.
