THE PLATFORM
The Sapphire Core is a platform for everything masternodes, allowing the community to enjoy all masternode content in one concentrated space. It is designed to reward content writers by allowing users to tip and upvote masternode articles posted on the platform. Top content writers with the most upvotes per month will receive an additional SAPP bonus for the month.
SAPP COIN
Sapphire coins (SAPP coins) are used as both a masternode and a form of reward for content writers. SAPP coins are initially purchased on an exchange when users first get started. With each masternode set up, a node is added to the network, thus growing the network and therefore stabilizing and decentralizing the sapphire blockchain. In exchange for their contribution to the network, users receive masternode rewards. SAPP coins are also used to reward the community for sharing their voice.
Masternodes are progressively paving a new road in the cryptocurrency space. They provide steady rewards for users and a more stable blockchain for developers. Masternodes are servers established by community members, who have fulfilled certain criteria of holding SAPP coins. These members are then entitled to a portion of the block reward. On Sapphire, masternodes receive 90% of each block reward, and Proof of Stake (PoS) receive 10% of each block reward.
In order to run a masternode on the Sapphire Core blockchain, community members must secure a particular amount of SAPP coins as collateral. The collateral and reward structure can be found in detail below in our rewards table. Essentially, the more nodes set up by the community, the more decentralized the Sapphire network becomes. As a result, masternode holders not only receive rewards, but also make the network significantly stronger.
