Everstake earns SOC 2 Type 1 certification, boosting trust in blockchain security as Ethereum staking grows - IcoHolder.
Everstake, a prominent blockchain staking provider, has earned the SOC 2 Type 1 certification, further solidifying its commitment to security and privacy. The certification, awarded after an independent compliance audit by Prescient Security, confirms that Everstake upholds rigorous security measures to protect both institutional and individual stakers.
The surge in Ethereum staking has underscored the growing importance of secure infrastructure. The number of Ethereum staked has skyrocketed by 74%, rising from 19.5 million ETH in January 2024 to 33.99 million ETH by January 2025. This increase is paralleled by a 16% jump in the number of active validators, from 913,008 to 1.05 million. With this growing demand, secure, reliable staking services are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the blockchain ecosystem.
The SOC 2 certification bridges the gap between blockchain services and traditional enterprises, ensuring that Everstake meets the highest standards for cybersecurity, availability, and operational transparency. This milestone reflects the company’s efforts to safeguard its users and establish itself as a leader in blockchain security, especially as the demand for staking solutions continues to rise.
Denys Avierin, Chief Information Officer at Everstake, emphasized the significance of this achievement: “Securing the SOC 2 attestation underscores Everstake’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest security standards are consistently upheld across all operations. As the demand for staking services grows, we are determined to lead the way in Web3 innovation while protecting token holders and encouraging industry-wide adoption of best cybersecurity practices.”
With over 735,000 delegators and operations spanning across more than 80 networks, Everstake is already a key player in blockchain security. The new SOC 2 certification not only boosts trust in its services but also sets a new benchmark for cybersecurity within the decentralized finance sector.
