Much of the Ethereum community agrees that layer 2 projects are key to the future of the Ethereum ecosystem. But, like so many others, we feel frustrated by the slow adoption of these projects. We see the lack of token incentives in many of the L2 projects as a hurdle to them gaining traction. While some projects have successfully launched their own tokens to incentivize adoption (such as Metis and Boba), many others (such as Arbitrum and Optimism) have not. So we decided to launch our own token to promote L2 adoption. And this is how Layer2DAO was born.

Further build L2DAO DEX liquidity on Arbitrum

Build network of partner projects that can benefit from promotion, liquidity, funding, and operational support

Start building the DAO investment portfolio of partner projects, yield generating assets, and stablecoins using modern portfolio theory
Initiate DAO governance once critical mass of token holders and Discord members has been reached
Grow our Discord server to become a leading hub for the L2 community and discussions
Partner with projects to create utility for L2 Early Adopter NFTs
Create L2DAO token utility on other L2s than Arbitrum and enable bridging via Multichain
Get L2DAO listed on centralized exchanges
Start and facilitate an L2 council, consisting of representatives from the leading L2 networks
