We are presenting you StopTheFakes, the world’s first decentralized service to detect counterfeiting and infringement of intellectual property rights, copyright, and relevant rights. Our project aims to bring together right holders and consumers in their fight against piracy products and content. Companies will have the opportunity to detect, localize and document violations of their rights quickly and efficiently, and law-abiding consumers will be rewarded for their assistance in combating piracy.
Our team is on an ambitious mission: to create a global system facilitating the fight against counterfeiting and piracy all over the world. Our goal is to minimize the cost of detecting violations and help brand owners to come into direct contact with consumers. Fighting against violations of intellectual property rights will result in reduced advertising expenses and increased profits for law-abiding companies while hitting organized crime hard.
Our short-term plan is to build a system that will destroy the multi-billion counterfeit market. The Blockchain technology was initially developed to exclude the possibility of counterfeiting, changing or altering information about transactions. Most transactions carried out in the world are related to the sale of goods and services. We want to enforce law and transparency on the global market and strive to provide small companies and private entrepreneurs with the same opportunities to fight counterfeiting that only big brands can afford now.
We took an interest in the problem of intellectual property rights over a year ago. At first glance, this may seem like a boring topic to take an interest in. Someone selling fake Louis Vuitton bags or uploading pirated films onto the Internet…so what? However, this topic is far more interesting and far more important that it may seem at first. Counterfeiting kills hundreds of children in South-East Asia; children get sick with malaria, their families take a long time to find the money to buy expensive medication…and it turns out that the medication is a fake. In fact, one in three medications sold is a copy.

Stop The Fakes really looks an amazing project to ponder. This new and novel project is innovative and facilitates intellectual property rights holders resources to detect piracy and infringements. This bright and innovatively designed platform not just protects your intellectual property, but also allows you to earn money if you find out rights infringement, as well.
While rights holders would for sure like to trace out who is illegally copying and infringing their services as well as goods, identifying these individuals is just one step – the second is putting a stop to the infringement in its tracks. Making so possible demands financial and legal resources, which it may not let rights holders spend much on rewards for infringement bounty hunters, as a result restraining Stop The Fakes as an income stream.
If you believe that this project is innovative enough and may get you monetary benefits, then get ready to join its token sale, which schedules to come about in March.
One of the most expensive aspects of running a company that does have some form of intellectual property is to ensure that their intellectual property is not being misused or copied somewhere in the world for counterfeiting for example is big business.
What StopTheFakes are planning to do is quite interesting, for if anyone can devise a way for companies, businesses or even individuals to track and monitor the misuse of their intellectual property it will be a popular service.
Looking at the funding aims of StopTheFakes, there is not much doubt in my mind they should be able to achieve their funding goals, and if they do follow their roadmap and achieve all that is set out in their whitepaper they should be a company that does make profits, and continued ones too.
