Currently Chief Technology Officer at Skyline group of companies leading Data Science, AI and Blockchain across MENA. Also an Advisor for SophiaTX Blockchain for Business, co-innovating with our partner networks across the GCC, Europe and Asia and developing technology adoption strategies which work in the region.
Previously helped transform Technology Procurement at Saudi Telecom Group moving the function from 4th to 2nd quartile across the globe and winning the EIPM Change Leadership and Value Creation award. Developed the Vision and Roadmap 2020 and led initiatives for Regional Alliance, Group Procurement, Supplier Enabled Innovation (SEI), Culture change, Blockchain, and RPA.
From 2007-2014 helped transform STC into a technology leader with a number of firsts in the region as Chief Architect of eBusiness and eChannels including the introduction of agile development, moving to amazon cloud and rolling out the first public API.
From 1996-2006 worked in key innovation positions at some of the biggest names in the world including Sun Microsystems, IBM, British Telecom, Hutchison 3G, and Vodafone. Key firsts included developing and rolling out: the world’s first web based ERP across 15 countries worldwide, the world’s largest b2b marketplace at the time, the first mobile location based services including turn-by-turn navigation, and the first live mobile video stream in the UK.
