Tony Lau

A seasoned executive, investment banker, private equity and angel investor. Tony is currently active in startups in blockchain, cryptocurrency/ICO, artificial intelligence, fintech, SaaS as well as infrastructure project in satellite and energy. As Managing Director of Détente Group, Tony has completed numerous M&A, conventional, alternative and infrastructure project financing transactions for enterprise, private equity and governmental clients. As an angel investor, he has invested and mentored many startups, ranging from SaaS, cybersecurity, surveillance, data storage, pharmaceutical, consumer electronics, 3 D imaging, digital marketing, social media intelligence, etc. As a private equity investor, Tony has invested in consumer electronics, manufacturing technology, robotic/automation, 3D printing, 3D measurement, nanosensors, biomedical technology, etc. As a corporate executive, he has extensive experiences in managing business operation, joint venture, merger, acquisition, divestiture, financing and restructuring globally.
