Sam Bowman

30 years of management experience in the food industry in North America, Europe, Asia in various roles including: CEO, President, General Manager, Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, Consultant. Bachelor of Science degree from UBC. Experience includes both shellfish and finfish aquaculture with an emphasis on marketing and business development. Past President of the BC Shellfish Growers Association and former Board member of AquaNet, Canada’s Network for Centres of Excellence for Aquaculture Research. Senior management positions held in the world's largest aquaculture company, Nutreco, and the world's largest salmon aquaculture producer, Marine Harvest. Forty-Under-Forty Achievement Award, selected as one of Vancouver's top 40 businessmen under the age of forty. Recognized for pioneering work in the seafood industry as Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, recipient of BC Export Award and Canada Export Award. Finalist and presenter at 2015 Fish 2.0 Sustainable Seafood Competition at Stanford University.
