About Turning information into insight - Creating a database about ICOs and Blockchain

Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) offer a new organising paradigm which can be used to record, transfer discrete units (of anything) and coordinate human activities on a larger scale than ever before. However, keeping up with the changing crypto landscape is a daunting task. This area is rife with opportunity and developing a comprehensive resource base is of pivotal importance to promote the development of this ecosystem. To date, there is limited resources available mapping out this space, however Mick O'Sullivan has done just that.
His talk incorporates a "Review of ICOs in 2017” covering a number of key metrics including: number of funding events undertaken; the amount raised; the success/failure rate; their geographic dispersion; the sectors and industries likely to be disrupted and the possible implications for Irish industrial policy.
Mick O’Sullivan has extensive experience in Financial Markets having worked for more than 20 years in Stockbroking and Hedge Funds. More recently, he has studied Data Analytics in the National College of Ireland, leading him circuitously into Blockchain. Ideally, he’d like to build a resource to help policy makers and the public at large to understand the opportunities presented by Blockchain technology.
