About Investing in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies - An ICO Special

WOW – What a start to 2018!

There is no doubt that cryptocurrency is a white-knuckle ride and it’s been a helluva ride in the first part of 2018.

One thing is for sure there are plenty more twists and turns that are going to happen in the next few months.

For people new to cryptocurrency – Cryptobase Live is the perfect place to learn, network and invest.

We are a friendly bunch who meet up regularly and welcome people of all levels who are interested in cryptocurrency.

This edition of Cryptobase will be looking at different things including;

1) An intro presentation to people new to cryptocurrency

2) Main presentation concerning ICOs 'A new form of innovative investment or a Ponzi scheme on drugs?

3) A free-flowing Q&A session for people wanting to talk about new trends and coins amongst themselves

We will probably split the groups up into different levels so you can get the most out of your evening.

ICO presentation

In 2017, over $5Bn was raised by startups using ICO’s. ICOs are Initial Coin Offerings (sometimes called TGEs or Token Generating Events). They have opened the floodgates for new tokens to be created and some have resulted in gains for purchasers of tens of thousands of percent…..and others have gone to zero.

In this session we will explore what an ICO is and why it is now raising more funds for blockchain startups than Venture Capital. We’ll take a look at the process to invest in an ICO and also cover some of the pitfalls and risks of buying tokens.

This presentation will be given by Gary Nuttall who came to one of our events last month. We talked to him at the end and wanted him to share his knowledge with our group of cryptocurrency fans.

Gary is stacked with knowledge about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology with more than 25 years of solid commercial experience in a variety of IT roles in the CPG/FMCG, Commodities Trading, Pharmaceuticals, Retailing and Insurance industries.

Beginner presentation

This presentation is for people new to this space or merely interested in improving their basic crypto knowledge. We are a welcoming group and have developed a presentation which covers a range of questions that help you learn…fast.
