About EthNile 2025
EthNile 2025 marks a historic moment: Uganda’s very first Ethereum summit, taking place on October 19 at the Ndere Cultural Centre in Kampala. Blending a hands-on hackathon with a forward-looking conference, the event is designed to showcase Africa’s rising role in Web3 innovation. Developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts will gather to build, learn, and collaborate on real-world solutions powered by Ethereum.
The hackathon will challenge teams to create projects around stablecoins, DeFi, payments, AI + blockchain integration, climate action, and on-chain identity. Meanwhile, the conference program will feature panels, mentorship sessions, and a demo stage where builders can present their work directly to experts, investors, and partners. With backing from major players like Celo and Base, the summit bridges local talent with global Ethereum communities.
Organized by Uganda’s Web3 leaders Mukunde Brisa, Ahimbisibwe Brian, and Elias Hezron Opio, EthNile 2025 brings together protocol engineers, founders, and innovators from across Africa and beyond. From mentorship by leading Ethereum voices to exhibitions of new tools and startups, the event promises both inspiration and practical takeaways.
