About Decentralizing Art: The Hype and Hope of Blockchain

Blockstack, an open source project on a mission to create the decentralized internet, is inviting leading thinkers to explore an important topic: the future impact of blockchain technology on the art industry. With creatives and technologists pairing up to explore this intersection, new ideas are coming to market that may have long-term impacts on the art industry…. or may not. Either way, we look forward to a lively discussion!

Topics include:
What does decentralization and transparency mean in the art world?
How do or will different industry players interact with blockchain: artists, curators, collectors, and auction houses?
How will mediums be impacted? What is happening in digital art?
Who is leading the way at this intersection?
What is it about blockchain that inspires us to imagine completely new ways of interacting and connecting and what does that mean for creating, consuming, distributing and preserving art?
