Bitcoin Beach Retreat 2025 is a unique, Bitcoin-only gathering set against the stunning backdrop of North Wales. From July 11–14, 2025, up to 120 Bitcoiners will come together at the Nant-Y-Big Campsite in Cilan, Abersoch, for a weekend of community, learning, and relaxation. Now in its fifth year, this grassroots event offers a refreshing alternative to traditional conferences, focusing on peer-led workshops, open discussions, and shared experiences.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including impromptu talks on topics like the Lightning Network, Bitcoin privacy, and self-custody. The retreat also features beach bonfires, BBQs, and games like giant Jenga and chess, fostering a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. With a marquee equipped with power and Wi-Fi, the event ensures that participants can stay connected while enjoying the natural beauty of the Welsh coast.

Emphasizing privacy and decentralization, the retreat accepts only Bitcoin and Lightning payments, with no personal details required for booking—just an email or Twitter handle.
