XRPL Commons

XRPL Commons

XRPL Commons is a non-profit organisation dedicated to nurturing a vibrant XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem through education, collaboration, and practical engagement. Founded in Paris, it operates the four pillars of Learn, Build, Launch, and Engage to support developers, startups, researchers, universities, corporations, and the wider blockchain community .

About XRPL Commons

Through the Learn pillar, XRPL Commons delivers educational programs tailored to various levels—from blockchain basics to advanced XRPL protocols. This includes interactive courses, developer bootcamps, university collaborations, and serious games. Over 280 developers have taken part in their training initiatives, with partnerships spanning more than a dozen universities.

The Build pillar focuses on practical innovation. XRPL Commons organizes hands-on developer residencies, such as the Aquarium program, where participants receive guidance and mentorship to develop functioning Web3 applications. Hackathons and community-driven projects are also central to this pillar, encouraging collaboration and real-world problem-solving.

In the Launch phase, XRPL Commons helps early-stage projects transition from concept to product. Many graduates of the Aquarium residency go on to secure recognition in global hackathons and begin their own startups. This includes tools and services built on the XRP Ledger, such as SDKs, decentralized apps, and sustainability tracking platforms.

The Engage pillar emphasizes community involvement and ecosystem development. XRPL Commons hosts podcasts, meetups, panels, and publishes an online magazine to keep stakeholders informed and connected. It is also actively involved in ecosystem governance, collaborating with key players like Ripple, XRPL Labs, and DAOs to shape the future of the ledger.

With a strong focus on sustainability, education, and open-source collaboration, XRPL Commons plays a vital role in empowering the next generation of blockchain developers and fostering responsible innovation across the XRPL landscape.
