Eartherium: Merging Memes, Philanthropy, and Community-Driven Crypto for Social Impact

The Founder of Eartherium explores the project's mission to blend meme culture with philanthropy, focusing on community-driven decision-making, social responsibility, and redefining the role of crypto beyond profit-making.

What specific charitable causes does Eartherium plan to support, and how will the platform choose which causes to prioritize?

The community will decide which charity will be supported both short term and long term. A DAO is under construction already. We prefer this than sending tokens to Vitalik in the hope of a retweet like most do.

How does Eartherium intend to balance the profitability aspect (“making serious bank”) with its philanthropic goals?

Our aim is to create a community that believes in memes and our vision, which we believe is why memes were originally created. We wish to make someone a millionaire so that we can demonstrate that memes are poor people getting rich and not the rich getting richer. Our philanthropic goals come after this again in order to set an example of what is possible when people come together as one.

In what ways does Eartherium’s vision align with Vitalik Buterin’s call for a positive impact through the crypto community, beyond financial success?

Vitalik called for memes to do something constructive and positive. We wish to leave a lasting impression on meme culture with our community development being prioritized over chart action and also our charitable causes. Memes can be a force for good and we need to change the media's view of them in order to inflow more ‘norms’ into this space.

How does Eartherium plan to leverage memes for charitable purposes, and what makes this approach effective in the crypto space?

Too many projects send tokens to Vitalik in the hope he sells them and donates to charity and also tweets it, too many see giving to charity as a way of risk management regarding their charts. The path we are taking is to flip this and prioritize our community and its ability to make an impact over its ability to temporarily pump a chart.

How does the project aim to change the public perception of the crypto space, which is often viewed as profit-driven or speculative, to one focused on social responsibility and charity?

The media has a very negative view of memes and we can argue rightly so. Crypto is confusing enough already without the tactics of some with a view of only pushing their chart. We want to create a community that can represent itself as a community, as a charitable cause, rather than green candles. We have members of our core and extended community who have already featured in articles such as Fortune, BBC, CNBC etc so we have those contacts available to us once we achieve what it is we want Eartherium to represent.

What role will the community play in deciding the direction of Eartherium’s charitable initiatives, and how decentralized is the decision-making process?

It will all be actioned via a DAO, we have more information on this to come as just like our token launch we want this DAO process to be as fair as possible and not controlled by the few as some already are.

Can you explain how Eartherium plans to integrate the culture of MemeLand with serious social causes while still maintaining the playful essence of memes?

Memes have lost their way. Memes are supposed to be about making cash, yes, but also about people finding a sense of belonging, having fun and doing things that they have never done before such as learning how to code and design websites, marketing, branding etc.

We believe that the essence of belonging and fun has escaped us for the purpose of forever chasing green manipulated candles.

We are not reaching out to artists to create the best memes possible, we want the average person to express themselves via memes and if it looks terrible then it's funny so even better.

Having fun does not turn us away from our goals and achievements. It simply makes the process and journey more enjoyable.

How does Eartherium address the challenge of scaling philanthropic contributions while ensuring that meme-based campaigns remain relevant and effective?

Poor quality memes, poor quality tweets and websites are our core. We want the average person to not feel alienated or out of place. We want people to join us in ensuring that this core belief in normal people stays. We accept we are sacrificing quality content that can have more reach but our aim isn't to adopt best practices, it's to adopt people who care.

What steps will Eartherium take to engage and inspire mainstream audiences, including celebrities like Gal Gadot, to support its mission?

We have no interest in attracting celebrities, we simply want to attract normal people and if they are a celebrity then that is OK. The mainstream audiences can join or not join, we will continue to grow our community in whatever direction and fashion it determines. This is not my project, it's for everyone and the moment I think I know best is the precise moment I prove otherwise.

What milestones does Eartherium hope to achieve in the next 1 to 2 years, and how will success be measured in both financial and social impact terms?a

Our milestones are all regarding people. We have 1 metric, how many people are with us. If we look after the community and keep it fun and engaging and learn from and with each other then the chart will look after itself and as a consequence charities will benefit more and more as will we.

We want 69,420 members in our community, that number of course chosen for the meme rather than any planning and forced pushes.
