Marcel Schlatter

Before his involvement with DactaTrace.swiss AG, Marcel spent 35 years in the Information Technology and Information Processing Industry as Systems Engineer, IT Architect, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Technical Executive. He designed and led the implementation of strategic IT solutions for multi-national companies. He also performed assignments in management consulting on IT issues, project reviews and risk assessment, and evaluation of new opportunities. Clients included the finance, insurance, pharma, transportation, logistics, telco and government industries. Thanks to his technical breadth and professionalism, Marcel has a reputation as a thought leader and trusted technical advisor who can bridge between business and technology issues. By combining his understanding of clients' business and architectural needs with a broad technical expertise, he has helped clients leverage state-of-the art technology to create outstanding solutions which met the highest standards of reliability and performance. From 2013 until 2016 Marcel was IBM Chief Architect in a multi-billion outsourcing engagement involving data center consolidation and application migration to a distributed on-premise cloud infrastructure with out-of-region disaster recovery capabilities, and with joint service management across cloud and non-cloud environments. Previously Marcel was IBM Distinguished Engineer and Cloud Solutioning Leader with IBM Global Technology Services, providing thought leadership, helping deal teams to drive cloud wins and to develop the opportunity pipeline. He brought technical eminence to deal teams across solutioning and offering teams, ensuring winning solutions were offered to clients.
