All of us share love for video games and we just couldn't comprehend how Kryptokitties and similar projects underutilize gaming mechanics. We see a chance to do something new and awesome with blockchain, and we want to take it.

CRYPTONS GAME

This is a blockchain ecosystem that combines a Crypto Collectibles with video games. Created by UpNorth and fashioned as a contest of intelligent machines is aimed at encouraging crypto explorers and games to interact with the platform. An extraordinary mix of gaming and storytelling makes the blockchain based platform gratifying on an emotional level, delivering an irresistible user experience.

PROS

  • Cryptons is a multimedia platform and as such makes it possible to reach more diverse audiences than in the case of conventional single-medium projects.
  • The platform incorporates a token, called Quintessence (QST) that conforms to ERC20 and ERC827. Owners of QST are at liberty to use the same to buy Cryptons, positions in Galaxies and assets.
  • Users can customize their Cryptons thereby creating their unique and appealing appearance. Users, therefore, can create their distinctive brands of Cryptons that members of the community can easily recognize.
  • There will be daily contests in which the team creates a custom Crypton model. Players then compete by coming up with a Crypton that resembles the model as closely as possible. The closest match wins. Such contests motivate players to synthesize cryptons.
  • The games in the platform are available in various models such as Tutorial, Single-player story-centered campaign, ranked match and much more.
  • The platform will use dual circulation that includes coin (ETH) and QST. It will establish a side ETH chain that will lower the cost of transactions substantially.
  • The Team; Cryptons has a solid support of quite a good number of team members. The fact both members are represented in the team is also a plus.

CONS

  • The white paper is available in one language only (English). It is also somewhat shallow and does not cover all aspects of the platform like device compatibility.
  • Since the platform is compatible with iOS and android only individuals using other operating systems will be disadvantaged.
  • Game #1of ecosystem is targeted at males aged between 20 and 40 and as such may create the impression of gender bias.

SUGGESTIONS

  • Enrich the whitepaper with a lot of relevant and useful information about the platform. It should also be translated into many other languages.
  • Make the platform compatible with most (if not all) operating systems in existence so anyone who would like to join can freely do so.
  • Make all the games in Cryptons suitable for members of all genders to avoid creating the wrong impression and possible backlash.

NOTE

The idea of earning collectibles while playing your favorite game is simply exciting. With more and more people using their gadgets to play while traveling, relaxing and during their free times, this ecosystem will attract many potential players. So, I will invest in it.
